Starting on the Second Floor, Which is Not the Top Floor

 

 

Today, work began on the second floor (or the third, according to Veronica).  This was a beautiful sight as I drove by. The crane truck lifting the walls to the second floor.



 

After the crew left, we took our nightly tour!  This is the view from the front. The steps leaning up in the garage are for the basement, most likely.  The attic stairs will look the same.

We have 1/3 of our stairwell in.  The boards are covering the location of the basement steps.

Veronica and I took a sneak peek into the egress window. It will have a ladder and a grate at the top. I think we will have a little fairy garden in there that we can access from the basement.

 Somebody is getting excited!  This is the back of the house. The window on the right is in the kitchen, over the sink. The large opening is a sliding door.
